According to a report from the Daily Mail on the 3rd, does a healthy diet really reduce a woman's chance of getting pregnant? A new study has found that eating high-fiber foods might reduce a woman's fertility. High-fiber foods such as whole-wheat bread or pasta could potentially cause endocrine disorders in women.
The more of these foods women consume, the lower the levels of hormones in their bodies that are crucial for pregnancy. US researchers conducted a two-year follow-up study on 250 women of childbearing age. They discovered that a high-fiber diet not only lowered the pregnancy hormones in these women but also increased the incidence of anovulation. This means that women have their periods, but their ovaries do not release eggs. Scientists have long known that extreme exercise, anxiety, or stress can lower hormone levels in women, leading to anovulation. However, this is the first study to focus on the health risks associated with this.
