According to a report on the "Healthy Living" website in Russia on October 31, British scholars have claimed that citrus fruits may be detrimental to the health of young women.
After a 22-year study and analysis of 78,000 women, British researchers found that citrus fruits can harm the female skeletal system, particularly in young women. Those who frequently eat citrus fruits are 41% more likely to suffer from bone tissue inflammation than others. Additionally, teeth may also be damaged. However, this effect does not appear to impact men in the same way.
To prevent potential harm to bones, the researchers suggest that women should consume citrus fruits no more than 3 times a week.
