In many countries, fruit is sometimes served as dessert, and sometimes it signals that dessert is coming next. Here are a few points on how to eat fruit when you are a guest:
Peaches and pears. Some people eat peaches and pears with the skin on, while others prefer to peel them. If you insist on peeling, peel the fruit first, then remove the core of the pear or the pit of the peach, and cut it into quarters. Since peaches and pears are very juicy, they are easier to eat with your hands than an apple, so it is best to cut them into small pieces.
Navel oranges and tangerines. First, use a fruit knife to peel the skin (the skin is thick and loose, so you can also peel it by hand). Then, separate the navel orange or tangerine into sections for easier eating. If the pulp is covered with white pith, you can also use your fingers to remove it. When spitting out seeds, you should first spit them into your palm, and then place them on the plate.
Plums, cherries, apricots, kumquats. For small fruits with pits, you can pick them up and eat them directly. After eating the flesh in your mouth, spit the pit into a spoon and then place it on the plate.
