Eating too much meat is not good for a man's prostate.

Research shows that long-term excessive intake of red meat by men may increase the risk of prostate cancer. Men who eat more cereals, nuts, and fish, on the other hand, have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer.

In fact, Professor Shigeuro Horie of the Department of Urology at the Graduate School of Juntendo University in Japan previously pointed out that excessive intake of animal fats can easily affect prostate health in men, and recommended that men over 40 eat less meat.

Eating too much meat, especially red meat, these animal fats can increase the levels of sex hormones in the male body. Prostate cancer is quite sensitive to hormone levels in the blood, so long-term excessive intake may increase the risk of prostate cancer. And research shows that men who eat more cereals, nuts, and fish have a lower risk of prostate cancer.

Animal fats and fried foods are both delicious but high in fat, and can easily increase the risk of metabolic diseases such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, fatty liver, and obesity. Especially when too much fat is consumed from meat and other sources, but one is sedentary in daily life and unable to burn off the corresponding energy, it can easily lead to obesity, particularly abdominal obesity. Being overweight can easily cause metabolic abnormalities in the body. Men may also lack confidence in their own image, affecting their quality of sex life, and are more prone to erectile dysfunction.

For middle-aged men over 40, if they are healthy and well-proportioned, they should eat lean meat, fish, and shrimp in moderation. This is because fish (and most seafood) contain more polyunsaturated fatty acids, which play a certain role in preventing dyslipidemia and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. They can also drink low-fat milk in moderation, which is beneficial for bone health.
