Chicken, duck, pork, fish, and other meats are essential foods in our daily diet. However, some parts of these animals are prone to health issues, and consuming them can lead to health problems in humans. Therefore, you should definitely avoid eating the following parts of these animals.
1. Poultry "Tail Buds"
The area at the top of the tail where the tail feathers grow on poultry like chickens, ducks, and geese. The scientific name is "bursa of Fabricius," which is a concentrated area of lymphoid tissue. Macrophages in the lymphoid tissue can engulf bacteria, viruses, and even carcinogens but cannot break them down. Therefore, the poultry "tail bud" acts as a repository for waste.
2. Rabbit "Scent Glands"
The white inguinal glands located under the skin on both sides of the external genitalia, the brown inguinal glands adjacent to them, and the anal glands located on the walls of the rectum. These glands have an extremely strong, foul odor. If not removed before consumption, they will make the rabbit meat inedible.
3. Livestock "Three Glands"
The thyroid, adrenal glands, and diseased lymph nodes in animals such as pigs, cattle, and sheep are three types of "physiologically harmful organs."
4. Sheep "Suspensory Ligament"
Also known as "tendon pearls," these are generally round or串珠状 (bead-like) and are a tissue that has become diseased inside the sheep's hoof.
5. Fish "Black Membrane"
A layer of black membrane lining the abdominal cavity on both sides of the fish. This is the part with the strongest fishy and muddy taste and contains substances such as lipids and lysozyme.
