Rice paper can be used for cooking, and here I'll introduce you to a classic recipe for shrimp wrapped in rice paper!
First, we need to prepare the ingredients: 1/4 of an egg, 8 peeled prawns, 24 sheets of rice paper (each 6 inches square), 40 grams of minced pork fat, a little chopped green onion, a little chopped red pickled chili, a little chopped red ham, a little chopped mushroom, a little sesame oil, a little pepper, a little sugar, a little MSG, a little water chestnut starch, a little yellow wine, and a little salt. There are quite a few ingredients to prepare, so be sure to get them all and don't miss any!
Next comes the cooking method. Once the ingredients are ready, the process is quite simple.
1. Slice each prawn into 3 pieces, for a total of 24 pieces. Mix them with the minced pork fat, egg, chili, and all the other seasonings.
2. Unfold the rice paper sheets one by one. Place one piece of the seasoned prawn mixture on each sheet, then fold them into 24 rectangles. Deep-fry them in a large pot of hot oil. It only takes a few minutes, as the prawns cook very quickly.
