Foreign studies have shown that people who often skip breakfast have a 27% higher risk of having a heart attack or dying from coronary heart disease.
Researchers from the University of Tasmania, Australia, once conducted a follow-up survey of 2,184 volunteers for more than 20 years. They found that people who often skip breakfast are prone to obesity, manifested by abdominal fat accumulation and elevated cholesterol, which are all risk factors for heart disease.
