1. Use meat juice to stir-fry vegetables. When you cook chicken or roast meat, save some of the meat juice to flavor your vegetables! For example, when stir-frying spinach, you can add some meat juice for a delicious taste.
2. Use a "cutting gadget." Slicing or shredding vegetables doesn't change their flavor, but it makes eating them more fresh and interesting. For instance, use the gadget to shred carrots, then stir-fry them over high heat. Or slice beets, lightly sauté them in olive oil, and top with goat cheese, a little bacon, and crushed peanuts.
3. Add some seasonings. Just like sprinkling cheese on pasta or butter on a steak, adding special seasonings to vegetables can make them incredibly delicious. For example, squeeze some lemon juice over your broccoli, or add some cumin-flavored sea salt to your steamed carrots. Other options include ginger, garlic, or orange zest.
4. Make a delicious vegetable soup. Vegetable soup might seem simple, but it becomes incredibly delicious when you add ingredients like light soy sauce, tomatoes, umami seaweed, or dried mushrooms.
5. Add vinegar to your tomatoes. Tomatoes are a universally loved vegetable. When preparing them, you can add some sweet vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Of course, adding sherry vinegar will give them a special flavor.
