In the blink of an eye, it's once again mulberry season. The mulberry is the fruiting spike of the mulberry tree, also known as mulberry fruit, or by other names such as mulberry seed, mulberry cane, mulberry jujube, mulberry berry, black mulberry, and so on. The main varieties include "Black Pearl," "White Wax Skin," and "Red Dragonfly."
Fresh, ripe mulberries are exceptionally nutritious and hailed as a "folk sacred fruit." Mulberries contain 80% to 85% water, 9% carbohydrates, and 0.4% protein. In addition, they contain vitamins B1, B2, and C, as well as minerals such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium. They also contain beneficial health-promoting substances like resveratrol and morin.
