Chives should not be consumed with honey or beef. Chives contain a high amount of nitrates. If stir-fried and stored for too long, the nitrates can convert into nitrites. Eating such chives can cause discomfort, mainly manifesting as dizziness, nausea, abdominal bloating, and diarrhea. Therefore, stir-fried chives should not be eaten after being left overnight.
