People in our country have always liked to use clay pots to simmer soups and stew meat. This is because clay pots are made of pottery and can better preserve the color, aroma, and taste of food. However, if used improperly, clay pots can be easily damaged. Therefore, when using a clay pot, you must pay attention to the following four points:
1. When using a new clay pot for the first time, it is best to use it to cook congee, or to boil it with strong rice washing water to seal the fine pores of the clay pot and prevent water leakage;
2. When using a clay pot to simmer soup or stew meat, you should first add water to the pot, then place it on the stove. Start with a low flame, then increase to a high flame;
3. When taking the clay pot off the stove, place it on a dry wooden board or straw mat. Do not place it directly on tile or cement floors;
4. Do not use a clay pot to cook thick, sticky, or paste-like foods.
