Frozen fresh corn won't spoil for half a year.

Frozen raw corn will not spoil for half a year

In September, when corn is abundant, it is at its most nutritious and flavorful. How can you preserve corn to extend its shelf life? The simplest method is to freeze it raw, which not only prevents spoilage but also helps retain its nutrients.

To store raw corn, first peel off the thick outer husks, leaving only two or three inner layers. Do not wash it. Place it directly into a resealable bag or plastic bag, seal it tightly, and then put it in the freezer. This way, the corn can be stored for half a year without spoiling, remaining fresh and tender. When you want to eat it, take the corn out of the freezer. No need to thaw it. Just wash it, place it in a pot, add water, bring to a boil over high heat, and then cook for about 10 minutes.

If you want to store cooked corn, simply place the cooked corn into a resealable bag, seal it tightly, and put it in the freezer. It can be preserved for about a week. If you only store it in the refrigerator, it is prone to spoiling quickly because corn has a high sugar content and requires sufficiently low temperatures for preservation.
