Winter Health Guide: Beware of Three Dangerous Foods in the Kitchen
Which goes bad more easily, cooked rice or tomato juice? The latest survey found that only 20% of parents know that rice is more dangerous than tomato juice, showing that parents have a significant lack of awareness of potentially hazardous foods.
Targeting the dietary habits and physical conditions of Chinese people, experts have listed the three most dangerous foods in the Chinese kitchen.
Shrimp and crab. About 1% of people worldwide are allergic to peanuts, while the primary food allergen for Chinese people is shrimp and crab. A protein found in shrimp and crab can cause skin itching in some people, and in severe cases, it can induce asthma. Therefore, people with allergies should avoid consuming shrimp and crab.
Leftover rice. Leftover rice is easily contaminated by microorganisms during storage. Therefore, leftover rice must be stored in the refrigerator at low temperatures and thoroughly reheated before consumption.
Leafy green vegetables. In the process of applying manure, leafy green vegetables can be contaminated with the Norovirus. Eating contaminated vegetables raw without washing them can easily lead to infection. Be sure to wash them thoroughly before eating, and it is best to blanch them in boiling water.
