It is not advisable to defrost food in the microwave for too long
The microwave is a great helper in the kitchen, but everyone knows that microwaves emit high radiation. How can we use it to minimize radiation? Yesterday, Ms. Wu from Nanan District shared her tips for using a microwave with low radiation.
Keep the microwave door as clean as possible with little residue, because residue on the microwave door can prevent it from closing tightly, leading to microwave leakage and harm to the body. When opening the microwave, children and pregnant women should stay at least one meter away, because radiation bursts outwards when the door is opened, and the radiation is at its peak at this time, so children and pregnant women must stay away.
If using the microwave to defrost food, the defrosting time must not exceed 2 hours. Defrosted items that have been in the microwave for more than 2 hours must be discarded, because the food can become poisoned by radiation.
