Health Reminder: Don't Have Meat and Fish at Every Meal
The "Huangdi Neijing" (The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon) states: "Excessive consumption of rich and greasy foods leads to the development of large carbuncles." This means that eating too much rich and heavy food can easily cause people to develop large carbuncles (in ancient medicine, cancer was considered a type of malignant sore and swelling).
Some people are not very careful with their diet and often eat large amounts of meat and fish. You should know that meat is very harmful to the circulatory system. Animal fats (such as cholesterol) are difficult for the human body to break down and will gradually adhere to the walls of blood vessels. Over time, fatty clots clog the arteries, and the heart must work twice as hard to push blood through the blocked vessels. This can easily lead to high blood pressure, stroke, and heart disease. Meat contains a large amount of a substance called "purine," which, when broken down in the body, produces uric acid, which must be processed and excreted by the kidneys. Eating too much meat greatly increases the workload of the kidneys. Over time, the kidneys can become overworked and develop kidney disease. If the kidneys are not functioning properly, uric acid cannot be excreted and accumulates in the body. After the moisture in the uric acid is absorbed by the muscles, it gradually hardens and forms crystals. If it accumulates in the joints, it can lead to gout, rheumatism, and arthritis; if it accumulates in the nerves, it can lead to neuritis and sciatica.
The most obvious result of frequently eating meat and fish is the appearance of many "chubby kids," leading to obesity and possibly high blood pressure. Doctors believe that excessive intake of high-fat foods causes blood lipids to remain at a high level in the blood for a long time, exceeding the body's capacity to use them. Over time, this leads to atherosclerosis, causing diseases such as angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.
Eating too many high-fat foods will inevitably lead to high blood lipids, causing arteriosclerosis throughout the body, including the cerebral arteries. This can lead to cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral thrombosis, cerebral infarction, and even cerebral atrophy.
Due to excessive consumption of high-fat foods, the cholesterol content in the blood increases. Over time, this can lead to gallstones and biliary colic. Many hospital cases show that consuming a high-fat diet often triggers acute pancreatitis.
In addition, frequently eating meat and fish can also make one more susceptible to cancer. According to surveys, the consumption of fat is directly proportional to the mortality rates from diseases such as breast cancer, colorectal cancer, ileal cancer, and prostate cancer.
Therefore, we must scientifically and reasonably plan our diets and must not have meat and fish at every meal. Only in this way can we get sick less and maintain our health.
