Prevention Methods:

Alcohol addiction generally takes several or even ten years to develop from formation to onset. As long as one pays attention in daily life, it generally will not develop. However, those who develop it need timely treatment to avoid affecting normal study, life, and work. So, how can one avoid alcohol addiction?

1. In daily life, if drinking, be sure to eat some food before drinking, and drink in small amounts and slowly.

2. Every time you drink, be sure to drink plenty of water, as alcohol dehydrates body cells. Drink some water before and replenish after sobering up.

3. People who usually like to drink should take more complex vitamins, such as B1 and B3.

4. Eat more amino acid drugs to reduce the damage alcohol causes to the body.

5. Diet should be balanced, eat more honey and fruit juice, and avoid fried and fatty foods.

6. Be fully aware that heavy drinking has serious harmful effects on the body.

Dietary Suggestions:

To quit alcohol completely, it is best to eat more foods rich in B vitamins, such as oats, whole wheat bread, animal offal, lean meat, peanuts, most vegetables, wheat bran, milk, etc. If you are used to it, you might as well have some oatmeal in the morning, because the activity of alcohol dehydrogenase in the liver is very low at noon, making it easy to get drunk. Drinking oatmeal in the morning can help reduce the desire to drink at noon, and porridge can also protect the gastric mucosa. It should be noted that B vitamins are not stored in the body, and excess amounts are completely excreted, so people who quit alcohol must supplement B vitamins daily.

Most alcoholics suffer from malnutrition. Therefore, during the period of quitting alcohol, it is best to consume 150 grams of protein daily. In terms of diet: it should be light-based, you can eat more foods rich in vitamins and protein, such as carrots, soy products, millet porridge, etc.; at the same time, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

Experts have also prescribed a daily secret recipe for quitting alcohol for quitters: eat a small amount of high-protein food daily, between each meal, supplement with fortified milk, or add eggs, yeast, lecithin, calcium, and magnesium; for lunch, eat a green vegetable salad, and for dinner, pour a spoonful of vegetable oil on top of it; after each meal, take two or three comprehensive mineral tablets and multiple B vitamins, plus 500 mg or more of vitamin C; after breakfast every day, take vitamin A, D, E capsules.
