In Life, Love to Fart? TCM Tells You How to Deal With It
In life, love to fart? TCM tells you how to deal with it. "Farting" is a normal physiological reaction of the human body, but if it's constant and foul-smelling, it becomes a pathological condition. Of course, the causes of "farting" are also related to a person's diet. Putting that aside, let's talk about how to deal with pathological "farting"?
For treating abdominal bloating and frequent gas, Traditional Chinese Medicine commonly uses five methods:
Foul-smelling and embarrassing
1. Cold-Dampness Accumulation Internally
Symptoms: Abdominal bloating, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, or epigastric and abdominal pain, thirst without desire to drink, and limb fatigue.
Treatment: Guiling Decoction and Houpo Wenzhong Decoction can be used to warm and transform cold-dampness.
Formula: Cangzhu 15g, Baizhu 15g, Houpo 10g, Chenpi 10g, Fuling 20g, Zexie 10g, Zhuling 10g, Guizhi 10g, Zhigancao 6g, Shengjiang 10g.
The above is an introduction to the TCM treatment for pediatric febrile convulsions. It is worth noting that if the conditioning of the internal organs is not paid attention to after a pediatric febrile convulsion, and only "treating the head when the head hurts" is done, symptoms are likely to recur. Therefore, after the treatment of pediatric febrile convulsion, Chinese medicine should be continued for further conditioning to prevent the convulsion from recurring.
2. Deficiency and Cold in the Spleen and Stomach
Symptoms: Non-odorous gas, fullness in the abdomen, preference for warmth and pressure, or feeling more comfortable after eating hot food and drinks, loss of appetite, and listlessness and fatigue.
Treatment: Lizhong Decoction can be modified to warm and tonify the spleen and stomach.
Formula: Renshen, Ganjiang, Gancao (zhi), Baizhu each 9g. Chop the herbs, use 1.6L of water to decoct down to 600ml, remove the dregs, and take 200ml warm each time, three times a day. After taking the decoction, after about the time it takes to eat, drink about 200ml of hot congee to gently warm the body. Do not remove the clothing and quilts.
3. Dampness-Heat Accumulation
Symptoms: Abdominal bloating and nausea, vexation in the chest, thirst without desire to drink much, sweating from time to time, loose and foul-smelling stools, also foul-smelling gas, anal burning, and short, dark urine.
Treatment: Wangshi Lianpu Yin can be modified to resolve dampness and clear heat.
Formula: Houpo 2 qian, Chuanlian fried with ginger juice, Shichangpu, Zhibanxia each 1 qian, Xiangdou fried, Jiaozhi each 3 qian, Lugen 2 liang.
4. Stagnation of Food
Symptoms: Abdominal fullness and pain, belching with a sour taste, nausea upon seeing food, loose and foul-smelling stools containing undigested food, and putrid-smelling gas.
Treatment: Baohe Wan can be modified to promote digestion and guide stagnation.
5. Excess-Heat Binding Internally
Symptoms: Abdominal fullness or hard pain, severe constipation, and dry mouth and tongue.
Treatment: Chengqi Decoction can be modified to purge heat and binders.
Formula: Zhishi 5 pieces, Dahuang 4 liang, Mangxiao half sheng, Gancao 2 liang. With 5 sheng of water, decoct down to 3 sheng. Take it in three portions at a suitable temperature, one portion every 5 *li* walked. The goal is to achieve bowel movement. If it does not occur, take the entire dose.
