These precipitates clump together to form insoluble, indigestible masses that are difficult to digest and expel, leading to persimmon phytobezoars, which in severe cases may require surgery.

Milk and chocolate should not be eaten together:

Milk is rich in protein and calcium, while chocolate contains oxalic acid. When consumed together, the calcium in milk combines with the oxalic acid in chocolate to form calcium oxalate, which is insoluble in water. After consumption, the body cannot absorb it, and it can lead to symptoms like diarrhea and dry hair, affecting growth and development. Therefore, they should not be eaten together.

Some fruits and seafood should not be eaten together:

Many people, especially children, enjoy eating both seafood and fruit. However, it should be noted that eating seafood along with fruits like grapes, hawthorn, pomegranates, or persimmons can cause symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal bloating, pain, and diarrhea. This is because these fruits contain tannic acid, which reacts with the protein in seafood to form a precipitate that is difficult to digest. At the same time, tannic acid has an astringent effect that inhibits the secretion of digestive fluids, causing the coagulated substance to remain in the intestines for a long time, leading to fermentation. Therefore, seafood should not only be avoided with the aforementioned fruits, but there should also be an interval of at least 4 hours after eating seafood before consuming these fruits.

Additionally, other foods that should not be eaten together include lamb and watermelon, bananas and taro, century eggs and brown sugar, tofu and honey, cucumbers and peanuts, mustard greens and rabbit meat, dog meat and mung beans, and persimmons and crab.
