What are vitamins?

To sustain life, we must obtain vitamins from natural foods or nutritional supplements.

When people hear "vitamins," most think of "tablets" and confuse them with prescription medications. Although vitamins and medicines can sometimes have the same effect, they are actually different concepts.

The concept of vitamins is simple: they are organic substances essential for life. Vitamins are indispensable for the normal functioning of the human body. With very few exceptions, vitamins cannot be produced or synthesized within the human body. They are crucial for human growth, physical strength, and health. Vitamins exist in only trace amounts in their natural state within foods. We need to obtain them from natural foods or nutritional supplements.

You must remember that any form of nutritional supplement, including tablets, capsules, liquids, powders, or even injections, is ultimately just a form of food. Unless they are artificially synthesized, supplements can be derived from plants or animals.

Without all these basic vitamins, the continuation of life would be fundamentally impossible.
