Introduction: With the autumn harvest of fruits, the most celebrated of all is the peanut, known as the "longevity nut."
As autumn arrives, many people find it difficult to cope with the changing seasons, experiencing symptoms like a dry mouth and throat, and digestive discomfort. Today, we recommend eating more peanuts.
In folklore, peanuts are called "longevity nuts" and are hailed as the "vegetable meat." They are known for stimulating the spleen and stomach, moistening the lungs and resolving phlegm, and soothing the throat to stop coughs. Regular consumption can also promote detoxification and wellness.
Salted Peanuts
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, peanuts are neutral in nature and sweet in flavor, affecting the spleen and meridians. They can stimulate the spleen and stomach, moisten the lungs and resolve phlegm, nourish and regulate Qi, and soothe the throat to stop coughs. They are primarily used to address malnutrition, poor appetite, physical weakness, dry cough with little phlegm, hemoptysis, skin purpura, insufficient lactation in postpartum women, and constipation.
Fresh peanuts are best eaten boiled in their shells. Boiled peanuts are not only easy to digest and absorb, but they also make full use of the medicinal and health benefits of the peanut shells and their inner red skins.
Today, we're recommending a simple peanut snack that is crispy and delicious—the perfect companion for watching TV shows!
