Scallion is a common condiment, and everyone knows about its medicinal and dietary effects. But has anyone ever thought that scallions could be used in so many other ways?
Scallion Juice for Rhinitis: Take an appropriate amount of scallions, remove the roots and outer skin, wash them, and mash them into a pulp to extract the juice (the mucous from inside the scallion is even better). Apply 2-3 drops into each nostril three times a day. Alternatively, use a cotton ball dipped in the scallion juice and place it in the nostril, replacing it when there is no longer any irritation.
Scallion White for Corns: Take a small section of fresh scallion white from near the root, peel off the thinnest outer layer. After washing your feet, apply the scallion skin to the corn and wrap it with a clean white cloth. After 24 hours, the tenderness at the site will significantly decrease. Continue this for several days, and the corn will soften and eventually heal.
Scallion Membrane for Nosebleeds: Take a fresh, tender scallion leaf, cut it open lengthwise, and use a clean cotton ball to wipe the inner membrane of the leaf. Once the cotton ball is soaked with scallion juice, place it in the bleeding nostril to stop the bleeding.
Wine-Scallion for Arthritis: Take 60-120 grams of scallions and 15-30 grams of old ginger, chop them finely, and crush them. Mix with an appropriate amount of baijiu (white liquor), apply to the affected area, cover with plastic film, and secure with tape. Change the dressing once daily.
Honey-Scallion for Mumps: Take 100 grams of scallion white, wash, and mash into a pulp. Mix with an appropriate amount of honey to form a paste. Spread the paste on plastic film, apply to the affected area, secure with tape, and change once daily. It can be cured after several days of application.
Scallion Water for Hemorrhoid Pain: Take 250 grams of scallion white with roots, add 1000ml of water, and simmer until reduced to 500ml. Use the warm liquid for a sitz bath twice a day.
