How to Make Potted Milk Tea: A Complete Guide

Potted milk tea, a trendy and adorable twist on classic bubble tea, combines creamy flavors with a playful presentation. Here’s a simple guide to crafting this delightful treat at home.

Ingredients & Tools:

- Black or green tea (2 bags)

- Milk (dairy or plant-based, 200ml)

- Sugar/honey (adjust to taste)

- Tapioca pearls (50g, cooked per package instructions)

- Oreo biscuits (4-5, crushed)

- Cream cheese (2 tbsp, softened)

- A small pot or glass container

- Whisk, spoon

Steps:

1. Brew the Tea: Steep tea bags in 150ml hot water for 3–5 minutes. Remove bags, add sugar/honey, and stir until dissolved. Let cool.

2. Prepare the "Soil": Crush Oreos into fine crumbs; set aside.

3. Make the "Cream Layer": Mix softened cream cheese with 50ml milk until smooth. Add a spoonful of crushed Oreos and fold gently.

4. Assemble the "Potted Plant":

- Base: Spread a thick layer of Oreo crumbs at the bottom of your pot.

- Soil: Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crumbs, smoothing the top.

- Plant: Add cooked tapioca pearls, pressing them slightly into the cream.

- Leaves: Carefully pour the cooled tea over the pearls, leaving room for the "foliage."

- Garnish: Top with remaining Oreo crumbs, a mint leaf, or a tiny edible flower for a final touch.

Serving Tip: Enjoy immediately with a long spoon to savor the layers of creamy, chewy, and tea-infused goodness. Perfect for parties or a cozy self-indulgence!
