Many common foods contain hidden toxins.

Even people with what are considered the healthiest diets did not expect that their diets contain a range of artificial toxins that can cause diseases such as cancer and heart disease. These toxins are found in the most common foods and are constantly consumed by people.

According to a report by the British Times on the 21st, experts have detected man-made toxic chemicals in 27 foods, and these contaminated foods even include bread and eggs. In response to this discovery by experts, the World Wildlife Fund conducted further medical tests and found that in 352 human blood samples collected over the past five years, all blood donors contained low-dose chemical toxins.

Chemical toxins that contaminate food usually include: organochlorine pesticides (such as DDT), polychlorinated biphenyls, brominated flame retardants, perfluorinated compounds, phthalates, organotins, alkylphenols, and synthetic musks.

These toxins are commonly found in common foods and daily necessities. In the UK, 15 foods, including meat, dairy products, honey, and olive oil, each contain at least two of the above toxins. In Finland, Sweden, Poland, Italy, Spain, and Greece, 12 foods also contain toxins. These toxins also appear in daily necessities such as food packaging, stew pots, wires, and computers.

The above eight chemical toxins may lead to various diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and fetal malformations.

In terms of dosage, none of the toxins in the blood samples are considered to pose an immediate direct threat to health. However, toxicologists are concerned that even low-dose toxins, when mixed and interacting in the human body, may pose a great danger to health.

Green is calling on the European Union to introduce new regulations to strictly control the use of chemicals when it votes on new regulations next month.
