Firmness
When ripe, kiwifruit will leave an indention with a gentle press. Avoid those with bruises, broken skin, wet spots, wrinkles, or that are too soft. Choose fruit with firm flesh, but not too hard.
Size
For most fruits, the bigger and sweeter the better, but when selecting, don't just go for the largest ones. Generally, smaller fruits are no less flavorful than larger ones, and it's advisable not to pick abnormally large fruits.
