A study conducted by scientists from England and Australia found: women who eat more fruits and vegetables have a healthier and more attractive appearance than other women. The benefits for women who often eat fruits and vegetables.
Researchers monitored the diets of nearly 200 women aged 18 to 29 for up to 9 months, and evaluated their skin tone from head to toe on a 9-point scale. The results showed that people who consumed more fruits and vegetables daily had increased levels of redness and yellowness in their skin overall, regardless of whether the skin was exposed to sunlight. The research findings prove that eating more carotenoid-rich foods, such as carrots, sweet potatoes, dark green leafy vegetables, and tomatoes, can change skin texture and tone, increasing the skin's yellow pigments. Yellow skin is considered healthier and more attractive to the opposite sex than brown skin. Other studies have shown that people who often eat carotenoid-rich foods are healthier and have a lower mortality rate from several chronic diseases. Therefore, nutrition experts recommend that everyone eat five servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
One of the authors of the research report, Dr. Ross Whitehead of the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, stated: There is evidence that for young women, the primary motivator to change their eating habits is appearance, with health being the second reason. This is even more true for women aged 36 to 50.
