Most men scoff at "feminine" foods like vegetables and fruits, preferring to call themselves carnivores. However, a latest report from the UK's Institute of Food Research suggests that consuming a small amount of broccoli each week can help prevent prostate cancer.
Broccoli
In the study, participants were divided into two groups, with one group consuming four servings of broccoli and the other four servings of peas each week. The results showed that the group that ate broccoli exhibited "anti-cancer genes" in their bodies, which can protect men from prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the second leading cancer killer among men, after lung cancer, with 680,000 men diagnosed with it and 220,000 dying from it worldwide annually. This first human trial study was recently published in the "Public Library of Science Journal." Besides broccoli, other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and red cabbage also have significant anti-cancer effects, and men should eat more of them too.
Tomatoes
It is worth mentioning that tomatoes are another fruit that men should not miss. They are not only rich in vitamin C, but the lycopene they contain also helps to "unclog" glands and prevent prostate diseases.

Furthermore, men should learn from Popeye and eat more spinach. The magnesium in spinach can convert carbohydrates in muscles into usable energy, thereby increasing male muscle strength. Of course, for men, a more significant benefit of spinach is that its folic acid and iron can promote red blood cell synthesis, increase blood's oxygen-carrying capacity, and improve blood circulation, which can fundamentally enhance the quality of men's sexual life.
