Different body types should drink different teas. Green tea is cooling, so it is recommended for people with poor stomachs to drink black tea, and it is also better to let new green tea age for a while before drinking; people with obesity problems are advised to drink oolong tea and dark tea.
Different seasons call for different teas.
It is recommended to drink more green tea in spring and warming black tea in winter. But it mainly depends on personal preference.
Steep tea two or three times a day.
Don't drink the same pot of tea from morning till night. When the tea becomes weak, you should discard it and brew a new pot. It is best to brew tea two to three times a day.
Don't drink tea that is too strong.
It is not recommended to drink strong tea, especially before going to bed. The polyphenols in it can affect the absorption of minerals and are highly stimulating to the nerves. It is recommended to use 3 grams of tea leaves for 150 ml of water.
Brew dark tea and black tea with boiling water.
Some people believe that to avoid damaging tea polyphenols, water at 80°C should be used for brewing. This is not necessarily the case. Academician Chen suggests that tender, one-bud-and-one-leaf teas can be brewed with lower water temperatures, while dark tea and black tea can be fully brewed with boiling water.
Don't drink overnight tea.
No studies have shown that overnight tea causes cancer. However, after a night, the tea is inevitably contaminated by microorganisms, and its hygiene cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, it is not recommended to drink overnight tea.
Store tea in a sealed, low-temperature environment.
Fill the tea canister to the top, seal the lid, and then seal it again with a sealed bag. Place it in a small refrigerator dedicated for storing tea. Sealing and low temperature can prevent the oxidation of tea polyphenols and avoid flavor mixing. Stored this way, the tea's flavor will not diminish for six months to a year.
