Yogurt, the most common healthy food we drink, it can not only regulate the intestines, but also supplement the probiotics needed by the body. However, there are so many yogurts on the market, how do we choose the one that suits us best??
Choose yogurt, three steps
1. Understand the properties of various yogurts
There seem to be many yogurts in the supermarket, but fundamentally, there are only three types: yogurt, lactic acid bacteria drinks, and milk drinks.
Yogurt: short for yogurt, also known as fermented milk, the fancy name is yogurt: composed of two parts: lactic acid bacteria and milk. The mainstream type has live bacteria; now there are also non-mainstream new types of room temperature yogurt without live bacteria.
Lactic acid bacteria drinks: contain lactic acid bacteria, with or without some milk, and are more often considered as drinks. But it is undeniable that it is still a good source of beneficial bacteria and a drink that has been advocated in recent years to improve the "micro" circulation of the intestines.
Milk drinks: may or may not contain lactic acid bacteria, may or may not contain milk, with a random and arbitrary formula... also belongs to the category of drinks. Although it has the sour taste of yogurt and the white color of yogurt, its nutritional value is definitely not as good as real yogurt.
2. Look at the surface
Look at the ingredients list
If you still only look at the expiration date when you buy things, then you are OUT, you must learn to look at the ingredients list! So, what do you look for in the yogurt ingredients list? You look for whether there is milk, whether there is lactic acid bacteria, and whether it is live or dead. It's worth noting that in the ingredients list, the ingredients listed at the front have higher content, and you can tell at a glance whether there is milk or not.
Look at the storage location
Some yogurts need to be refrigerated, while others can be stored at room temperature. However, refrigerated ones generally contain live bacteria, so you should pay more attention to these details.
3. Look at your needs
Actually, whether it's yogurt or yogurt drinks, although their nutritional value is lower, they are healthier than the drinks you usually drink. When choosing yogurt, besides looking at the health aspect, there is another very important point, which is to look at your needs. If you don't need the thick consistency of yogurt, then you might as well lower your standards and choose a lactic acid bacteria drink, which is also a good choice.
