Whether kids or adults, everyone loves french fries. If you're making them at home, how can you make them crispy and delicious?
Ingredients: 2 potatoes
Seasonings: Ketchup, a little salt
1. Select 2 fresh potatoes, wash and peel them.
2. Cut into strips. Cut the potatoes into long, even strips, with each strip preferably not exceeding 1 cm in width. Wash the cut fries in water to remove the starch, then set aside.
3. Par-cook the fries. Place an appropriate amount of water in a pot, enough to cover the fries. Bring the water to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes. Do not cook for too long; 7-8 minutes is enough. Add a little salt after the water boils. Remove the fries, arrange them neatly on a plate in a single layer. Use several plates to prevent them from sticking together.
4. Let them cool, then place them in the freezer to freeze.
5. When you want to eat them, take them out and fry until they are golden brown, then remove from the pot.
The par-cooked fries have less moisture, so they won't splatter oil or absorb too much oil when fried. This way, you don't have to worry about consuming too much oil, and you don't have to worry about the fries being soggy!
