Scientific Diet to Prevent Breast Cancer
Consume lactic acid foods in moderation. For the prevention of breast cancer, it is best to drink 1 cup of yogurt daily. Because yogurt contains highly active lactic acid bacteria and Streptococcus thermophilus, which can reduce fat absorption. Women with less fat absorption have a much lower risk of breast cancer than those with higher fat absorption.
Increase intake of foods rich in Vitamin A. Regularly consuming foods rich in Vitamin A, such as carrots, potatoes, lentils, pumpkin, egg yolks, apricots, and lemons, is beneficial for preventing breast cancer. An 8-year study in the United States showed that insufficient Vitamin A intake increases the risk of breast cancer by 20%. Pay attention to supplementing foods with Vitamin D. Survey research has found that Vitamin D is related to breast cancer mortality; the more Vitamin D obtained, the lower the breast cancer mortality rate. Because milk and fish are high in Vitamin D, it is recommended that women drink 1 cup of milk and eat 50 grams of fish daily. Fish also contains a fatty acid that can inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells.
Eat more cabbage and soy products. Cabbage contains a compound that accounts for about 1% of its weight, which helps break down estrogen. Soy products contain isoflavones, which can effectively inhibit the occurrence of breast cancer. In addition, fruits and vegetables such as corn, edible fungi, seaweed, garlic, tomatoes, citrus fruits, and berries also have a positive effect.
Avoid alcohol. For women, the harm of alcohol is much greater than for men. Women who drink have a higher risk of breast cancer than those who rarely drink. Those who drink one or more glasses of alcohol per day have a more than 45% higher risk of breast cancer than those who rarely drink, and this risk is most significant in premenopausal women.
Drink less coffee. Foods like coffee, cocoa, and chocolate contain large amounts of caffeine, which can promote breast hyperplasia, and breast hyperplasia is related to the occurrence of breast cancer. For women, especially premenopausal women, excessive intake of these foods will greatly increase the risk of breast cancer.
