An orange a day can prevent cancer.

A study by Australian researchers claims that eating one citrus fruit a day can reduce the risk of developing oral, throat, and stomach cancer by 50%. The research indicates that citrus fruits can protect the body through their antioxidants, boost the immune system, inhibit tumor growth, and promote the normalization of cancerous cells.

The report states that the study is based on 48 international academic studies focusing on the health benefits of citrus. Australian researchers also claim to have found significant evidence proving that citrus can also lower the risk of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, and diabetes.

Furthermore, the research also shows that citrus fruits are the highest in antioxidants among all fruits.
