Exclude the 4 Major Taboos of Health and You Are in Control of Your Lifespan
[Introduction] The World Health Organization stipulates that an individual's health and lifespan are determined by 15% genetics, 10% social factors, 8% medical conditions, 7% climate impact, and 60% by oneself. In this matter, you are more powerful than fate.
1. Breakfast Must Be Eaten Well
Do you know? You must eat like this: eat well in the morning, eat your fill at noon, and eat less at night. People nowadays do the opposite: they are careless in the morning, get by at noon, and feast at night. This is the root of a hundred illnesses.
The morning meal is like taking a tonic and is the most important meal; you must eat a nutritious breakfast. A nutritious breakfast must include four things: grains, soy milk, eggs or meat, and it must also include vegetables and fruit. If your breakfast has fewer than two of these, it is considered a low-quality breakfast. Now, 20% of Chinese people skip breakfast, and 50%-60% don't know how to eat a proper breakfast. If the breakfast is not nutritious, it cannot be made up for at lunch or dinner.
2. The worst habit in the world is smoking
Of the five worst habits in the world, the number one worst habit is smoking.
A person who smokes their entire life will live 20 to 25 years less. Each cigarette smoked shortens one's life by 11 minutes. Why am I relatively young and healthy? Because I have never smoked in my life. If anyone smokes in front of me, sorry, please go outside to smoke. You can commit suicide, but you cannot commit murder.
Smoking right after waking up in the morning is especially harmful. For smokers, the progression is: bronchitis, emphysema, pulmonary heart disease, and finally lung cancer. This is a deadly trio.
3. Nutritional Excess is Also a Form of Poisoning
There are rules for what you eat each day: one, two, three, four, five, six.
One plate of vegetables daily, must be eight liang to one jin (approx. 400-500g)
Two fruits daily
Three spoons of light oil, not exceeding 25 grams
Four liang of rice or four steamed buns (approx. 200g)
Five types of high-quality protein: meat, eggs, milk, fish, and soybeans, but in specified amounts: one liang of meat, one egg, half a jin of milk, one piece of tofu or a bowl of soy milk/bean curd. Meat, eggs, and fish should not exceed 30g (one liang).
Six glasses of water or six grams of salt. Now it's recommended as eight glasses of water daily. You must drink eight glasses of water every day because water is life. Many people don't drink water correctly; they only drink when they are thirsty. That's wrong. You must drink whenever you have a chance, not just when you are thirsty. Are eight glasses of tea okay? No. Eight glasses of coffee? Beverages, coffee, and beer cannot replace water. If you drink tea, drink it weak; don't drink strong tea. Remember, water is life.
4. People don't die of old age, nor of illness, but of anger
How can a person not get angry? Humans are emotional beings, experiencing joy, anger, sorrow, worry, sadness, fear, and shock. When happy, we laugh; when unhappy, we cry; when angry, we even curse a bit. This is a sign of rich emotions.
If a person only had one emotion, that person would not be healthy.
A person with rich emotions should act according to their feelings, but you must remember two things: first, don't go to extremes, and second, if you do, don't stay that way for long. Adjust quickly. This is true health.
The "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon" has long made this clear: "Anger injures the liver, joy injures the heart, sorrow injures the lungs, worry injures the spleen, and fear injures the kidneys. All diseases arise from qi." It's an absolute truth. Many people will tell you frankly that people don't die of old age or illness, but of anger. They die of anger because they can't get a promotion, die of anger because they can't become a professor, die of anger because they can't make money. Many elderly people die of anger over very small matters. Therefore, a person "cannot avoid anger, but must know how to be angry, must not be a captive of their emotions, must be the master of their emotions, must control their emotions, and not let emotions control them." Remember, emotion is the baton that directs our anger, and it is of the utmost importance.
