Everyday Cancer-Causing Food Blacklist

Blacklist of Carcinogenic Foods in Daily Life

Nutrition experts state that a reasonable dietary structure, maintaining good nutrition and antioxidant status are effective measures for cancer prevention and treatment. Long-term improper diet is also one of the main factors leading to cancer. Here is a blacklist of carcinogenic foods for reference only in daily diet.

Experts recommend a cancer-preventing healthy diet that is primarily plant-based and supplemented by animal-based foods, including: 300 grams of grains daily (one-third legumes, one-third flour products); 500 grams of vegetables, of which 300 grams must be green leafy vegetables; 200 grams of animal-based foods such as fish, poultry, eggs, and lean meat; 250 grams of milk; and 50 grams of soy products.

In addition, dietary therapy can be used to supplement antioxidant nutrients, such as VC and carotene. Eating more foods rich in VE and plant active substances, such as seeds, nuts, and foods containing polyphenols like tea, hawthorn, wolfberry, ginkgo, soybeans, and Ganoderma lucidum from fungi, can enhance immunity and prevent cancer.

Pickled foods: Dimethylnitrite produced from salted fish can be converted into the carcinogenic substance dimethylnitrosamine in the body. Salted eggs, pickled vegetables, etc., also contain carcinogens and should be eaten as little as possible.

Barbecued foods: Barbecued beef, duck, lamb, goose, suckling pig, lamb skewers, etc., contain strong carcinogens and should not be eaten in excess.

Smoked foods: Such as smoked meat, smoked liver, smoked fish, smoked eggs, smoked tofu, etc., contain the carcinogen benzopyrene. Frequent consumption can easily lead to esophageal and stomach cancer.

Fried foods: After being fried until charred, they produce carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. When coffee is burnt, benzopyrene increases 20-fold. Fried pancakes, stinky tofu, fried taro chips, fried dough sticks, etc., often use repeatedly heated oil, which produces carcinogens at high temperatures.

Moldy substances: Foods such as rice, wheat, beans, corn, and peanuts are prone to moisture and mold. After being contaminated by mold, they produce the carcinogenic toxin aflatoxin.

Overnight cooked cabbage and sauerkraut: Produce nitrites, which are converted into the carcinogenic substance nitrosamine in the body.

Areca nut: Chewing areca nut is a factor that causes oral cancer.

Re-boiled water: Re-boiled water contains nitrites, which form carcinogenic nitrosamines in the human body.
