Which vegetables have high pesticide residues
Objective: In modern agriculture, pesticides are widely used. However, due to the existence of some illegal pesticides and non-standard practices, the level of pesticide residues in vegetables has become a widespread concern among the general public. Therefore, we have monitored the pesticide residue levels in vegetables sold in our city throughout the year.
Methodology: For data collection, we selected the main vegetable varieties consumed by citizens, including 14 major categories such as cabbage types, root vegetables, leafy greens, onion and garlic types, solanaceous fruits, gourds, legumes, taro and potatoes, aquatic vegetables, edible fungi, and sprouts, totaling 86 varieties. A total of 44 samples were collected and tested.
