Sleep-aiding foods for a healthy complexion.

Sleep well, and you'll look good and feel great. Adequate sleep is especially important for women, particularly for those going through menopause.

1. Bananas: The rich magnesium in bananas can effectively relax the body and relieve insomnia. Eating a banana before bed can help you fall asleep, but be sure to choose a ripe one and do not eat it on an empty stomach.

2. Lotus seeds: Lotus seeds can calm the mind and nourish the middle Qi. Adding one or two lotus seeds to soups or teas can help promote sleep. The lotus seed core can clear heart fire, but it only needs to be removed if consumed in large quantities.

3. Millet porridge: Millet is rich in tryptophan, which can promote the brain's secretion of sleep-inducing neurotransmitters. A bowl of millet porridge for dinner can even replace sleeping pills.
