When women reach around fifty, menopause follows. In response to this, many may opt for traditional medical treatments.
However, the Seattle Times in the United States proposes a more convenient and delicious method: eating a medium-sized sweet potato daily can help menopausal women alleviate or even eliminate those bothersome symptoms.

An article published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition states that regular consumption of sweet potatoes can have an impact on estrogen. Additionally, researchers in Taiwan have conducted related experiments. They had some menopausal women consume sweet potatoes for 30 consecutive days, then compared and analyzed their physical condition before and after. They found that the women's hormone and cholesterol levels had improved. The researchers concluded that eating sweet potatoes regularly can reduce hot flashes and night sweats, help alleviate depressive moods, and also lower the risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases in menopausal women. Therefore, as a cheap and tasty nutritious food, sweet potatoes should be a part of the diet for menopausal women, and it should be noted that they should be eaten daily to achieve better results.
