Ingredients: 300g dried lotus seeds, 200g white sugar.
Drinking some lotus seed soup can reduce internal heat: First, soak the lotus seeds in water until they expand, then remove the skins and cores. Place them in a large bowl, cover with water, and steam in a steamer over high heat for about 1 hour until the seeds are soft and tender. Remove from the steamer. Next, in another pot, add a large bowl of water, the white sugar, and the steamed lotus seeds. Bring to a boil over heat, stirring constantly. 2. Drink Mung Bean Congee to Reduce Stomach Heat
Ingredients: 250g rice, 150g mung beans, 20g white sugar.
Instructions: First, rinse the rice in clean water. Clean the mung beans to remove any impurities. Next, place the mung beans in a pot, add about 1750g of water, and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Then, reduce the heat and simmer for about 40 minutes until the beans are soft and tender. Add the rice, increase the heat to medium, and cook for another 30 minutes until the rice grains have blossomed and the congee is thick. After cooling, add rock sugar to taste and mix well before serving.
3. Drink Pork Liver Soup to Reduce Lung Heat
Ingredients: 50g pork liver, 50g spinach, 2g salt, 13g vegetable oil, 5g chopped green onions and ginger, 3g cooking wine.
Pork liver is an excellent food for reducing internal heat, and one should be aware of its proper preparation. First, wash the pork liver and slice it into 0.3cm thick, 2cm wide, and 3cm long pieces. Place the slices in a bowl, add a small amount of cooking wine, salt, and 5g of water, and marinate for a moment. Wash the spinach, blanch it in boiling water, then remove and cut into small sections. Next, heat the vegetable oil in a pot over high heat. Add the chopped green onions and ginger and stir-fry until fragrant. Add 100g of water and bring to a boil. Add the marinated liver slices along with the marinade. Once it boils, skim off any scum. Then, add the spinach and salt. After the soup comes to a boil, you can first scoop out the spinach, then let the soup boil for another two minutes before pouring it into a bowl.
