Most men turn up their noses at "feminine" foods like vegetables and fruits, preferring to call themselves carnivores. However, a recent report from the UK's Institute of Food Research indicates that consuming a small amount of broccoli each week can help prevent prostate cancer.
Broccoli
In this study, participants were divided into two groups, consuming four servings of broccoli or peas per week, respectively. The results showed that the group eating broccoli developed "anti-cancer genes" in their bodies, which can protect men from prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the second leading cancer killer among men, after lung cancer, with 680,000 men worldwide diagnosed with the disease each year and 220,000 dying from it. This first-ever human trial study was recently published in the journal "Public Library of Science ONE." Besides broccoli, other cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower and red cabbage also have significant anti-cancer effects, and men should eat more of them.

Tomatoes
It's worth mentioning that tomatoes are another fruit and vegetable that men shouldn't miss. They are not only rich in vitamin C, but the lycopene they contain also helps "unclog" glands and prevent prostate diseases.
Spinach
Additionally, men should learn from Popeye and eat more spinach. The magnesium in spinach helps convert carbohydrates in muscles into usable energy, increasing male muscle strength. Of course, for men, a more notable benefit of spinach is that its folate and iron can promote red blood cell synthesis, increase blood's oxygen-carrying capacity, and improve blood circulation, which can fundamentally enhance male sexual quality of life.
