Generally speaking, raw pumpkin seeds can be eaten directly. Many people choose to eat them raw to preserve their "original flavor," but in reality, pumpkin seeds are more often used as an ingredient in food. Let's now discuss how raw pumpkin seeds are eaten in daily life.
Pumpkin Seed Bagels
Ingredients: A. High-gluten flour 500g, brown sugar 15g, salt 8g, water 290cc, fresh yeast 10g. B. Water 1000cc, sugar 40g, pumpkin seeds 200g.
Instructions:
1. Put the high-gluten flour, brown sugar, and salt into a large steel basin. Stir evenly with 290cc of water to form a dough. Finally, add the fresh yeast and mix it thoroughly into the dough.
2. Move the dough from step 1 to the tabletop. Knead vigorously for about 15 to 20 minutes until the surface is smooth and the texture is soft. Stretch the dough until it becomes slightly translucent. Then, divide the dough into small pieces of 80g each and shape them into rounds.
3. Take the small dough pieces from step 2. First, poke a hole in the center with your thumb, then shape it into a ring. Cover with a plastic bag and let it rest and ferment for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Take a pot, pour in 1000cc of water and sugar, and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the dough from step 3 and cook for about 1 minute on each side, then remove and place on a baking tray.
5. Sprinkle the pumpkin seeds evenly on the dough from step 4. Preheat the oven to 220°C, bake for about 18 to 22 minutes, until the surface is golden brown, then remove.
