What to do with extra papaya at home? Besides the usual papaya stewed with milk, here's a better method for you—Papaya Milk Jelly.
Ingredients: 1 papaya, 250ml milk, 20g sugar, 5g gelatin powder.
Step 1: Wash the papaya, cut it in half lengthwise. Remove the pulp and seeds, and place it cut-side up in a small dish.
Step 2: Pour the milk into a saucepan, add the gelatin powder and sugar. You can adjust the amount of sugar to your own taste. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly.
Step 3: Once the powder and sugar have completely dissolved, turn off the heat. Pour the milk mixture into the papaya. Let it cool naturally, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Tip: You can substitute the milk with coconut milk, and gelatin powder with gelatin sheets, but make sure to melt the gelatin sheets properly. As for the sugar, you can add it to taste while cooking. Since papaya is already sweet, it's recommended not to add too much.
