Foods to eat: Pears, figs, mint, Malva nuts, watermelon, duck eggs, and honeysuckle. Foods to avoid: Pungent, hot, sticky, and nourishing foods such as longan pulp, dog meat, and pepper. 3. Lung-Dryness Type Cough

Symptoms: A dry cough with little or no phlegm that is difficult to expel, or nasal and throat dryness, with a thin tongue coating with little moisture.

Foods to eat: Honey, sugarcane, olives, duck meat, and white fungus. Foods to avoid: Aromatic, dry, fried, warm, and spicy foods such as popcorn, fried peanuts, and chili, and avoid tobacco and alcohol.
