Pneumonia is one of the most common respiratory diseases in children, typically characterized by high fever, coughing, and nasal flaring. Some cases may also be accompanied by vomiting, convulsions, runny nose, and sputum production. It is most common during the winter and spring seasons, mainly caused by exposure to cold and catching a cold.
1. 5 segments of pomelo pulp, 60 grams of dried Chinese cabbage, 15 grams of Astragalus root, and 250 grams of lean pork. Cook all ingredients together in a soup and consume daily, divided into two servings. This can help replenish Qi, nourish Yin, moisten the lungs, and transform phlegm.
2. 50 grams of lily bulb and 200 grams of Job's tears. Add 5 bowls of water, simmer down to 3 bowls, and divide into 3 servings to be consumed daily.
3. 30 grams each of walnut kernels and rock sugar, and 150 grams of pear. Grind all ingredients together, add water, and cook to consume. Take 1 tablespoon at a time, 3 times a day.
4. 10 grams of almond (peeled and pitted, then crushed), 1 to 2 Chinese pears, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar. First, cut the pears into pieces, remove the cores, and cook with the almonds. Once the pears are tender, add the rock sugar and drink as a substitute for tea.
5. 10 grams of Codonopsis root, 15 grams of red dates (pitted), and 150 grams of glutinous rice. Cook all ingredients together with an appropriate amount of water to make a congee, seasoned with white sugar before consumption.
6. 10 grams of almond, peeled and pitted. Grind with water, strain the juice. Cook with 30 grams of rice and an appropriate amount of water to make a congee and consume.
Remember, during a fever, the diet should be light, easily digestible, and preferably liquid or semi-liquid, such as congee, rice noodles, arrowroot powder, fruit juice, or mung bean soup. It is also important to drink plenty of water and maintain regular bowel movements.
