Do you feel sleepy after lunch, always lack energy, or make frequent mistakes at work? In fact, this is likely caused by the high-sugar and high-fat foods you eat for lunch.
A recent survey by the British company Efunes, involving 1000 office workers, revealed some findings. The work efficiency of office workers peaks at noon, then begins to decline. Three-quarters of the respondents reported feeling sleepy after lunch. Especially between 2 PM and 4 PM, they feel extremely fatigued and listless, their work efficiency drops, and they are more prone to making mistakes.
Experts believe the reason is that many office workers have a preference for high-sugar and hard-to-digest high-fat foods for lunch, such as fast food like french fries, hamburgers, and fried chicken. Therefore, office workers should try to choose fresh foods, such as fresh fish, chicken, and vegetables, as these foods release energy slowly throughout the day.
