Introduction: A seemingly healthy diet may not withstand scientific scrutiny, while an unhealthy diet can have a significant adverse impact on our bodies. According to a July 19 report from Russia's "Medical Forum" News Network, Professor Rodney Beilton, a biochemistry professor at Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, has spent 15 years researching and proposed four truths about healthy eating.
1. Don't eat ripe bananas

Some green or unripe bananas, vegetables, and fibers are rich in resistant starch. Resistant starch is the main type of soluble dietary fiber and the only one we can eat. Resistant starch is slowly digested by bacteria in the large intestine, providing us with the necessary energy. Bananas are the best source of resistant starch in a healthy diet, but the riper the banana, the less resistant starch it contains.
2. Don't make mashed potatoes
No matter how you process food—squeezing, juicing, or even chewing—it will speed up the entry of sugar from the food into your body and accelerate digestion. For example, when we compare eating a whole apple to eating applesauce, less sugar enters the bloodstream when eating the whole apple. The same is true for potatoes; the smaller the potato pieces are processed, the more sugar enters the bloodstream.

3. Drinking water can relieve back pain
Nearly 75% of people suffer from chronic dehydration, which not only affects their waist health but also their back health. Drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day can relieve back and joint pain. Water helps "flush" excess calories from the body because it promotes kidney function. Water is one of the key factors in a healthy diet.
4. Don't use olive oil for high-heat cooking
Olive oil is considered the most beneficial cooking oil, but during the heating process, it breaks down into toxic chemicals—lipid peroxides. During a meal, these chemicals react with proteins and DNA, increasing the risk of cancer and heart disease. Therefore, it is best to use olive oil for salad dressings. The most beneficial method is to cook with water!
