Plum Blossom Dumplings

There was some meat filling left over from making dumplings yesterday. What should I do with it? After thinking about it for a while, I decided to mix the dough and make it into beautiful and delicious plum blossom steamed dumplings, hehe.

Steps for Plum Blossom Dumplings

The meat filling left over from yesterday and the freshly made dough.

Simmer the dough and divide it into small doses.

Roll small doses into round dumpling skins, as round as possible.

Fold the round dough (shown in the picture) into a pentagonal shape.

Turn the folded pentagonal dough sheet upside down and add the meat filling.

Pinch the 5 corners together, as shown in the picture, and then turn the edges of the dough upside down, marked by the red arrow.

If all five sides are reversed, it becomes a plum blossom, as shown in the picture.

Bring water to the drawer and steam for 8 minutes.

The steaming and fragrant plum blossom dumplings are out of the pot and ready to eat.

Try to roll the dough wrapper as round as possible, and be symmetrical when folding the five corners so that the resulting plum blossom petals will be uniform in size.
