Ganglu sesame seed cake
By SidDietrich
I have always missed the tanlu sesame cakes I had in Shijiazhuang. They were very strong and had little oil. Also, I recently found an oven I bought 20 years ago, so I decided to give it a try. The result was actually successful! So the technical content is not high! Take the sesame cakes I made to the park, sit under the peach tree, eat the sesame cakes and admire the flowers...

Steps for Ganglu sesame seed cake

1
Add salt and oil to the flour, knead into dough, and wake for about 30 minutes.
2
When you wake up, make the thing you put on it (I don't know what to call it, but only with it can you make the cake layer by layer) with oil, flour and salt and mix it into a paste. It seems possible to skip this step and simply use oil and sprinkle with some salt.
3
After waking up, roll it into a large dough sheet and apply the paste you mixed just now
4
Roll into rolls and cut into small doses of 3-4CM
5
Roll the dough into a rectangular shape, fold it in three folds (my hands were full of oil at that time, so I didn't take photos), and place it on the baking sheet (I'm not sure about the quantity, but I'm all squeezed in anyway. No matter how many people are like Line 1, I can squeeze it in, haha)
6
Brush with salty salt water and sprinkle with sesame seeds
7
Put it into the oven and heat it to 200 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Just look at the yellow surface of the sesame seed cake.
