I spent two days watching flower-making video tutorials before I finally started. Since this was my first time making gumpaste, I ran into quite a few issues during the process. For example, the petals would break off at the wire, they would rotate back and forth, or snap while I was trying to shape them, among other issues. I pondered over it repeatedly, overcame the difficulties, and finally developed some little tips of my own, which I have written in the steps for your reference. Tools used: thin wire, a set of peony molds, a set of leaf molds, two texture tools, stamens, and a foam ball. Even with simple, limited molds, you can create lifelike peonies. Gumpaste flowers can be stored permanently in a dry place. When making a gumpaste cake, decide on the theme before buying molds to avoid buying too many and wasting them. Some of the step photos were taken at night while I was making the flowers, so the lighting was a bit dim. It took three hours to complete one flower, and after several days, I finally finished the project. Although it took a long time, seeing the beautiful finished product made it all worth it~~~~
