bean jelly

bean jelly
This was my first time making jelly. After reading a few articles on the Internet, I went home and saw that there were no other starches, only wheat starch, so I gave it a try.

Steps for bean jelly

  • Make step 0
    1
    1 bowl of wheat starch.
  • Make step 1
    2
Put it in a slightly larger container. Use the same bowl to fill a bowl of water into it and stir until it becomes a slurry.
  • Make step 2
    3
Pick up another pot and bring to a boil 3 bowls of water (the same bowl as the noodles).
  • Make step 3
    4
Turn off the heat, slowly pour the stirred slurry into boiling water, and constantly stir in the same direction until the liquid becomes transparent and the stirring spoon can be slightly erected before you can leave the pan. Because this process was completed by one person and had to be constantly stirred, it was impossible to take photos. Pour the paste jelly into a large bowl and wait to cool.

    5
    After letting it cool.
  • Make step 5
    6
    Cut it into cubes.

This is the first time I made it with wheat starch. My mother-in-law used to make it with sweet potato flour. The finished product feels similar to take-out, but if it is fried and eaten, it will not work. It is not strong enough. I don't know what to add to make it strong. The taste is not as sweet as the jelly made of sweet potato flour. You can consider buying pea flour and making it again next time. I don't know if this process has anything to do with its lack of strength. Please help and give guidance from all experts. Thank you
