Leek Dumplings
By AshleeWolff
I didn't know how to make dumplings before, so I had to go to a restaurant if I wanted to eat them. Haha, I don't need it now. Since I learned to make dumplings from a Taiwanese lady, I have started making dumplings myself. In fact, making dumplings is not difficult at all, and it can be said to be very easy. Here are my ways to make dumplings. Don't hesitate to try if you are interested.

Steps for Leek Dumplings

1
Wash the leeks and remove the white hard stalks.
2
Cut into lengths of about 1 inch.
3
Put the leeks into a large bowl first, then add the minced meat, appropriate amount of salt and MSG.
4
Mix well and set aside. (Usually I leave the leeks longer to soften them and make them easier to pack)
5
Hold a dumpling skin in your palm and place a tablespoon of meat in the middle.
6
Use your fingers to dip in some water to wet the surrounding area of the dumpling skin and fold it in half, pressing down on the middle arrow without touching the sides.
7
The skin on the front side is folded inwards in 3 small folds and then glued to the skin on the back. The other side is also folded inwards in 3 small folds and glued to the skin on the back.
8
The leek dumplings are ready.
9
Normally, I make more and put them in a flour-sprinkled box, place them with a piece of paper, cover them, and place them in the refrigerator to freeze. Just take it out and blanch it with boiling water when you want to eat it.
10
Boil a pot of water, add in the dumplings and blanch until the dumplings float. It takes more than 5 minutes.
11
Drop a few drops of sesame oil on a plate and place the boiled dumplings on top and mix.
12
Don't forget to dip it in this "shredded ginger sweet vinegar" when eating. The taste will be more delicious.Leek Dumplings Make Tips
You can put what you like on the filling, such as shrimp, cabbage, long cabbage, etc. If you like meat, you can put more meat and put less vegetables. The recipes are all the same, just exchange the vegetables and meat. People in my family especially like leeks, so I only have leeks.
