Oil steamed buns

There is a very simple and delicious snack in Zhoushan. It is called oily steamed buns in local dialect. This is a flour product that is mixed with flour, added with chopped green onion to enhance aroma, added with appropriate amount of salt and chicken essence to taste, and fried in a pan. It can be used as breakfast or snack. The oily steamed buns taste very good and chewy, and with the aroma of green onions, it is really popular. If it is served with a bowl of shrimp skin seaweed soup or a cup of soy milk, it is quite enjoyable.

Steps for Oil steamed buns

Put three ounces of flour into a bowl.

Cut the shallots into chopped green onions and set aside.

Add salt and chicken essence to water and mix well.

Pour salt water into the flour and add appropriate amount of water.

Mix the flour into a slightly thicker paste.

Pour the oil into the pan and heat it until 80% heat, pour in half of the batter and spread flat.

Fry on one side until fragrant and then on the other side.

Fry both sides until fragrant and turn off the heat.

Cut into small pieces and serve on a plate, then fry the other half of the batter.
